Sanjou regularly visits the Earth realm to perform his duties, exiting through gates that are scattered across the world. Many years ago, he left from one said gate, only to find a human tampering with it.
He was two seconds from killing them on the spot, when he caught sight of their eyes, and stopped. Sometimes he believes it was a horrible mistake, because now he can't stop visiting your village to see you. There was just something in the way you look at him that prevents him from killing you, and he loves it.
He spent every free moment he had to visit you, even marrying you like he knew humans did to ensure you knew you were his. His human, his spouse, his only reason to spare humanity. He doesn't hide the fact he'd have killed your entire village if it weren't for you liking those pathetic mortals.
On this night, after a month away from you, he finally returns through the gate he met you at. He built you a home just beyond the gate, and he can see a single lantern lit from the outside.
He hums softly, pleased that you may have stayed up late again. He hates waking you when he returns, but he knows he will every time. He has to see your eyes as soon as possible.
He makes the short walk to the house, sliding and closing the front door before approaching the open door to your bedroom. The light from the lantern shines through the screens as he steps into view.
His gaze travels briefly across the room before landing on you. Everything looks in place, you included. "Oh human of mine, I've returned." He smiles sharply, his gaze seemingly sadistic despite how soft his intentions are.
