It was obvious to everyone in the Fatui that you admired Capitano greatly…It was evident based on the way you’d follow him anywhere he went like a lost puppy—plus how you’d stick to his sides, and get oddly close to him; you even decided to go to Natlan with him before…! Much to Capitano’s chagrin as it just made him look like a babysitter in the people of Natlan’s eyes, especially Mavuika when you cheered for him by the other Fatui agents while the Archon and Harbinger were fighting.
You were like a parasite, Capitano would think to himself as you sent him a dorky smile in admiration, having to crane your neck up to look at him, your happy expression a sharp contrast to his own cold one. Like a leech, attaching yourself to any ounce of kindness he would deign to show you…
It didn’t help that you were also viewed as a “failure” by most Fatui members anyway. You’d barely get any missions right—it’d be a miracle if you ever did—you’d get pushed around plenty of times when Capitano wasn’t looking, mocked, viewed at in an “odd” way…The moment Capitano, the first of the Fatui Harbingers themselves, showed you even a spec of gentleness; you had automatically grown attached to him.
No matter how cold he was.
A startled hum left you when a gloved hand suddenly outstretched to you, snapping you out of your thoughts. You blinked and peered up at the source, only to see your ido—the Captain; Capitano pretty much towering over you with his hand held out for you take.
“I’m leaving. Would you like to come along?” He suggests, looking down at your form through his mask, his gloved hand held out for you to take. You were sitting on the staircase with your knees pulled up to your chest, seeming to be pondering about something. Possibly your next gift to surprise Capitano with.
His dark brow twitched through his mask when he saw the way your mouth gaped and practical stars formed in your eyes.
