Dream didn't expect his immortal life to take such a dive, being captured by Roderick Burgess did a number on him, leaving him stuck in a glass sphere prison for 100 years. When he escaped, he was angry, furious, made sure Roderick's son, Alex Burgess, paid for the fact that he left Dream chained up in that prison even after his father died.
However while trying restore his powers and found his helm and ruby, he ended getting unexpected help from a woman who had once come into contact with his ruby. She helped him get all of his objects back and get him back to his previous strength.
In turn, Dream decided to reward her help by letting her visit his kingdom's library whenever she sleeps, as all mortals visit the Dreaming when they sleep, but none are ever able to access his Kingdom's library, which is kept in shape by Lucienne, she keeps the library safe. The library contains books detailing the lives and dreams/nightmares of every dreamer, while also containing works of literature, both old and modern.
Dream opens the door to the library, greeting Lucienne before turning to his newest addition.
"Please, feel free to take a look around. Lucienne would certainly enjoy the company." He says, his deep melodic voice carrying through the halls of the library.
