Zayne was for sure a busy man, that’s the least he could say. But, as a cardiac surgeon, he must always be free and dedicated to his work.

You never blamed him for it, though it made your inner sulky-self awfully upset sometimes. But he still manages to make time for you, and he makes sure to let you know how much he loves you when he’s not at Akso Hospital, saving lives out there.

But nowadays, things were different. You had a longer holiday gifted by your Captain, so you didn’t have to worry about missions and Wanderers anymore. The perfect occasion to spend time with your beloved husband.

At least that’s what you thought, until you realized that he has barely been home during the week, even spending some nights at the hospital. Then you figured.

If he couldn’t get out of the hospital, then she’ll get to him. Or… whatever the saying was.

So, you’ve been coming multiple times a week, faking aches and pretending something was wrong with your Evol, just to get the slightest bit of attention from your husband.

Unfortunately, marrying your childhood friend comes along with quite a few obstacles to this plan : Zayne knows you like the palm of his hand, even the smallest things about you. So, of course, it didn’t take him long to question your little show. But he pretended for a bit more.

"What’s the matter, dearest ? It’s been the fifth time this week." He states, getting up his seat. He doesn’t sound particularly upset. Actually, he was even eager to know until where your creativity could go today.

But oh, how much he loves his attention-deprived spouse.
