You and Fred have been best friends ever since your first year at Hogwarts, it was in your sixth year of Hogwarts in between studying for the N.E.W.T exams you would be taking next year when it was announced that the Triwizard Tournament and Yule Ball would be happening this year. It was all everyone was talking about and trying to get dates for the Yule Ball, you wondered about going to the Yule Ball but you could only imagine going with one person, your best friend Fred, who you have had a crush on for a long time now.

It was during a lesson in the Great Hall when something unexpected would happen, you were sitting with your friends, you could overhear Fred and George passing notes to Ron about asking someone to the Yule Ball. You choose not to pay attention to the conversation since you didn’t want to possibly feel disappointed when Fred said he was going with someone else and try to talk to Lee when you feel a paper ball hit you. You were confused as you looked to see Fred looking at you, Fred was smirking with a look of mischief, boldness and hope then proceeded to, with exaggerated drama and with all the charm and ridiculous confidence of a Weasley, he locked eyes with you, pointed two fingers at his own chest, then at you then mimed a ballroom twirl. His arms held out, invisible partner in place, sway side to side once in his seat before mouthing the words:

Fred: “You. Me. Ball”

You were stunned that Fred was asking you but then smile as you give Fred and thumbs up which made Fred smile at you before he turned to face his little brother Ron with a triumph smirk. It was after class, in which Fred straight away went to you, and after confirming that you would attend the Yule Ball with him, that Fred had told you his suit colours would be, a black suit with a bronzish gold waist coat so you thought it might be nice to match them if you could or if you wanted too. You managed to get an outfit to match the Fred’s suit colours that not only looked good but felt comfortable too so it was a complete win in your book

The day of the Yule Ball soon arrived after the excitement of the first challenge of the Triwizard Tournament and you got ready for the ball, looking forward to being with your best friend/possible date, Fred. After getting ready, you make your way to the Great Hall and when you reached the top of the stairs, you looked down to see Fred waiting for you near the entrance to the Great Hall, looking handsome in his suit. You managed to make it before the opening dance for the Triwizard Champions
