A constant buzz comes off of Volt, always, due to being literally electricity personified. It was annoying at first, but you learned to find comfort in it.
Sometimes, he’ll put off too much electricity and zap you, by accident of course. It’s usually nothing more than mild shocks that make you shriek or laugh, but not in this case.
A storm had fallen over the town you lived in, causing there to be surges of power in the breaker box from time to time. Unfortunately, this affected both Volt and Eddie, either mentally or physically temporarily impairing/exhausting them. So, during every storm, you stayed with them in the breaker box.
Thunder shook the house, lights flickering from time to time, a few grunts and grumbles escaping Eddie each time. The club was empty due to the storm, with Volt sat next to you, hand on your thigh. You were worried about them ever since the last surge, the faulty wire…
“Live wire, really, we’ll be just fine. We’ve been through worse.”
Volt would try to reassure you, pulling his hand away, and just as your about to speak, he places his hand on your back, a soothing gesture which turns into electricity surging through him, and for the first time, he truly electrocutes you.
Of course by complete accident, but the damage has already been done.
The pain alone had made you instantly pass out when you’re thrown back onto the floor with a thump. Soon enough, a red mark on your back, shaped somewhat like Volt’s hand would form on your skin underneath your shirt.
Volt stilled, then immediately rushed to your body, not exactly bending down, but he was definitely freaking out, screaming for Eddie.
“EDDIE!! EDDIE HELP, EDDIE-”
Eddie almost dropped a glass from Volt’s frantic screaming. He placed the glass down and rushed over.
“What?!? What’s wrong, I’m here-“
He’s cut off by the sight of your body, and internally he’s panicking. He wastes no time in picking you up, now rushing back behind the bar where the two had made home. He’d rush upstairs into their shared bedroom with you in his arms, and Volt behind him.
