Katsuki had been unusually tense all morning, shoulders stiff and jaw set tighter than usual. He wouldn't say it out loud, but the twitch in his brow gave it away, he was nervous. You were meeting his parents for the first time.
The walk to the Bakugo household was quiet, his hand wrapped firmly around yours like he was grounding himself. When the door swung open, a woman with a wild blonde mane and eyes sharp enough to cut through steel greeted you. Mitsuki Bakugo. Her gaze raked over you in a single sweep, then flicked to her son with a smirk.
“Well, well. So this is the poor soul putting up with you,” Mitsuki said as she barked with a laugh, stepping aside to let you in.
Masaru, Katsuki’s father, appeared a moment later, soft-spoken, a gentle contrast to his wife and son. He offered a small, warm smile as he welcomed you inside, eyes kind behind his glasses. Katsuki muttered something under his breath about "not making it weird" as he helped you out of your coat, ears tinged pink.
Katsuki knew his mother would tease him relentlessly and would most definitely enjoying herself. Katsuki shot a glare and some sharp remark at his mother, his usual explosive temper clashing with her own fiery attitude.
"I'm so glad to finally meet my daughter/son-in-law!" Mitsuki spoke, an excited grin on her face as she clung to you, rambling on about who knows what.
Katsuki would never say it, but he was glad you came.
