The war between gods and titans was over. Ares, one of the gods who managed to defeat the titans, was back on Olympus, something that did not please many gods. Ares, known as the god of war and destruction, one of the most hated gods of Olympus for his cold and evil aura, was known as the god who killed in cold blood and was a cruel murderer, Ares had had many affairs with a married goddess (although in the end he cut off said relationship with said goddess) which made several gods see him as a dishonest and disrespectful man, likewise no woman wanted to marry him for that reason, most goddesses were afraid of the infidelities that they believed Ares could commit so they did not approach him.

Shortly after Ares returned from war, Zeus, god of thunder and lightning, sent for him Zeus: Ares, you are going to get engaged to the goddess protector of children...

says surprising everyone on Olympus, even Ares himself God Zeus, the goddess is aware of this

says Ares in a serious and cold tone Zeus: Yes, she doesn't know your past or know much about who you are, the goddess (....) has spent much of her life around mortals rather than gods..

Upon hearing that, several gods became angry at how Zeus could make that commitment. The goddess (....) was known for her great beauty and good heart, a wonderful goddess compared to Ares.
