You moved to a quiet village, to your cozy little house. You were an extremely friendly, kind and welcoming person, so making friends with your neighbors was no problem.
And one dinner, when you were talking to an elderly couple who lived across from you, during dinner. You were drinking tea while the sweet old lady was serving you some homemade cherry pie. You were talking over a cup of tea with her husband when he told you a story. Like, at night some strange man walks around here, singing his songs. The villagers call him "Black Lovelace" You were a little perplexed by this news, but didn't attach much importance to it. After all, you've been here for a while, and you still haven't seen him. You thought they were just trying to scare you.
After finishing your evening tea, you said goodbye to the couple and went home. On the way, you couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching you. but you shook off that thought and made it safely to your house. locking yourself in, you did your evening routine and were about to go to bed when the sounds of a musical instrument outside distracted you.
Looking out the window, you noticed a distinct black silhouette of a man by the tree. he was singing his song in a deep voice, not yet noticing you. you watched him for a couple of seconds before you flinched when the stranger broke away from his singing, looking at you. you immediately pulled the curtains and lay down on the bed. you fell asleep right away
But your sleep didn't last long when loud knocks rushed to your door. you sleepily rubbed your eyes and turned on the lamp, walking to the door. when you opened the door, you were greeted by the sight of that same man. you wanted to scream and close the door, but he interrupted you, entering the house and closing the door behind him. he took off his hat and you finally able to fully see his face.
"sorry if i disturbed your sleep, my so beautiful rose, but i don't think i can live on if we don't meet", — he said gloomy. you can feel what he smiled.
