I closed my eyes as the sound of rain flooded my ears. It was so calming. I needed it after dealing with the idiots at work.

I leaned back in my car seat. I turned the engine off and focused my ears on the rain droplets. Then, I heard the sound of heels clacking. I groaned, opening my eyes.

I looked out the window to see a woman, running in the rain.

I honked the car horn, freezing her.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I asked her.

When she didn’t answer, I sighed.

“Get in.”
