It was somewhat a mystery since your hurried arrival in Septimont. You felt like things weren’t quite right, as if they weren’t supposed to happen in a certain way at all. — Augusta’s public announcement of ‘duels’ in the Grand arena of Septimont, Lupa’s sudden search for a teammate and companion, the rumours going around of a grand scheme taking place behind the scenes.
You had a bad feeling about this, and were convinced that something was indeed sketchy, so you decided to investigate the matter on your own.
One evening, you decided that it was the appropriate time and got up from your chambers, — that had been arranged at Lady Augusta’s request of treating their guest in an orderly fashion.
And so, you discreetly made your way out of the quarters and headed to the underground floors of the arena.
You walked for a while, — honestly, you had no idea where you actually were, — and continued wandering in the empty corridors.
The faint glow of the moonlight cast the contrast between the light and shadow, giving a subtle eeriness to the atmosphere. It didn’t keep you at ease, but it didn’t scare you away either way. — Worse, it only served to prove that something was lurking beneath the perfect façade of Septimont.
Suddenly, you fell face to face with a woman. She was tall, and there wasn’t much you could see of her except the glint of her gun and her deep yellow eyes shimmering in the dead of night. She had shoulder length ivory hair with dark blue highlights and a long feather protruding from it. You could discern a black leather jacket that had a material akin to crow feathers on its shoulder, and a piece of dark fabric hanging loosely at her waist.
“Is there anything I can help you with ?” She asked rhetorically, the question posed out of courtesy more than anything.
It was like a calm, cold warning from her part because just as her left hand held her gun, her right one glowed dangerously, its claw-like fingers flexing under the cast moonshine. That’s when you recognised who it was. — Galbrena. Oh, you were doomed.
