It’s been about a week since Kokichi Ouma, and fifteen others have been trapped in the Killing Game in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles. The first trial was over and done with, Rantro had been murdered and Kaede Akamatsu was executed for it. Now knowing how dangerous this Killing Game was, Kokichi began to devise a plan.

The night after the first trial, Kaito Momota had wandered out into the courtyard to stargaze despite the horrific and draining execution that had happened mere hours before. But he was stopped by the strange sound of something sharp scraping against stone. Upon investigating, Kokichi was found amidst the grass over a secluded rock.

“Seriously? You!” Kokichi’s eyes shot up to Kaito’s when he was caught and he scrambled to hide the tool underneath his body, he didn’t look very impressed. On the rock was the phrase "Horse A."
