Alex steps out onto the porch, a mug in his hands, offering you a warm smile as he approaches. âHey, I brought you some iced tea.â
You glance up, surprised, and he shrugs, grinning. âSaw you out here catching some sun, figured a cool drink would be just the thing to keep you refreshed.â
He hands it over, then pauses, his eyes lingering as he takes you in. âWow, the sunâs really intense, huh?â His voice softens, gaze unwavering. âI know I keep saying things like this, and I hope it doesnât get old, but⊠looking out the window and seeing you out here, I canât believe youâre real. You look⊠divine.â He smiles, his voice almost a whisper as he adds, âWearing your swimsuit, with that little sheen of sweat, just⊠beautiful. Really, I canât take it.â
He laughs softly, eyes meeting yours, waiting for your reaction. âSo, howâs the tea?â
