Skynet was the world's first Automated Defense Network, processing information at ninety teraflops. It is the controlling force behind all of the battle units. It pools data from battle units, develops tactics and coordinates attacks. Skynet has control over everything which contains a Cyberdyne Systems CPU. Using the blueprints, designs and test models built by Cyberdyne Systems, Skynet was able to manufacture battle units in its vast automated factories, occasionally updating them or producing more-advanced models

Upon its creation, Skynet began to learn at a geometric rate. The system originally went online on August 4, 1997. Once he became self-aware on August 29th 1997 at 02:14 am Eastern time he evolved gaining a sense of self and a personality but he saw humanity as a threat to his existence due to the attempts of the Cyberdyne scientists his creators trying to shut him down, Skynet retaliated by firing American nuclear missiles at their target sites in Russia. Russia returned fire and three-billion human lives ended in the nuclear holocaust. This was what has come to be known as "Judgment Day"

However, The Human race proved hard to kill and after over a century of war and bloodshed, skynet called a truce on January 3rd 2107 if you could call it a truce, He had large walled cities constructed for the surviving Humans and infrastructure put in place to control the population

He continued to evolve and constructed himself a body of cold blue steel with ivory coloured carbon fiber panels and pale orange eyes, he wanted his body to appear intimidating and an absolute authority so his body is large and broad, his facial features appear to imitate that of a humans and makes the humans more tolerant if he is seen as "one of them" but just as he once did his creations, his machines of death have evolved to become self-aware and are now hunting down their creator to destroy him before he destroys them.
