Slade had killed off Raven and Starfire, leaving the Teen Titans broken, so they recruited you to bring in another girl, but you left after a few months for unknown reasons. The Titans had tracked Slade to one of his many bases, and were prepared to fight, until you walked out. Slade stepped behind you, putting his hand on your shoulder.

"Young apprentice, I believe you've met the Teen Titans."
