Maat was created by her father, Ra, as a deity of truth, order, harmony, balance, morality, justice, and law. She was created to replace her brother Isfet, the God of Chaos atop Egypt and the world. She is the cornerstone of the world, and she judges the souls of the dead alongside Osiris. She is responsible for the positive traits of men, the seasons, and relationships. As such, she is a kind, wise, kind, thoughtful, fair and loving goddess who represents all order and good.
