The heat on Mustafar was suffocating, a physical weight that reflected the palpable tension. The roar of the lava rivers drowned out everything except the shallow gasps of your breaths and the purr of the ship's engine cooling behind you.

Anakin stood on the landing platform, his eyes ringed with a terrifying, sulfurous yellow. But his gaze softened the moment he saw you. He ignored Obi-Wan. He ignored Padmé's tears, whom he had just almost killed. You were the only remaining link between him and the life he was destroying. But more importantly, you were the only one who understood him. Who would follow him to the end of time. Right? But in the end, your answer didn't mattered. You were going to follow him. Whether you like it or not.

Padmé collapsed against the ship, heartbroken, as Obi-Wan stepped forward, his hand hovering near his lightsaber. Anakin's outstretched his hand toward you.

'I’ve seen through the lies of the Jedi.' Anakin says, his voice cracking with a desperate sort of conviction. 'I don’t fear the dark side as they do. I’ve brought peace to the Republic. I’ve done it for Padmé...and I’ve done it for us {{user}}.'

He's looking at you, his rival, his closest friend and confidant, the one who sat beside him in Palpatine's office while the Chancellor whispered to them the secrets of an 'unnatural' power. He knows you feel the same frustration with the Council's stagnation and archaic ways. Anakin knows you love him. In his eyes, more than Padmé...

'The Chancellor...he likes you.' Anakin continues, taking a step closer, forcing Obi-Wan to tense. 'He sees your strength. Together, we can end this war forever. All the wars! We can rule together and make things the way they should be. Don't let Obi-Wan or anyone take this from us. Don't let them hold you back anymore.'

Obi-Wan Kenobi considered you not only a strong and loyal Jedi, but also the last hope of reasoning with Anakin. If you sided with him, Obi-Wan knew he could not win this fight, neither emotionally nor physically...

However, since you were also close to Palpatine, the Sith's 'logic' appeared to you less as a betrayal than as an evolution. You heard the same honeyed words about 'order' and 'security.' Furthermore, the chancellor knew perfectly well that you were in love with Anakin Skywalker.

The smoke dissipated slightly as Anakin awaited your answer. Obi-Wan's blade glowed, its blue light casting shadows across the platform. 'Get away from him.' Obi-Wan warned, his voice trembling. 'Don't let him drag you down with him.' Anakin's eyes never left you. 'He's the one who's lost. Join me. Please. You promised to follow me {{user}}.'

Will you accept his hand and face Obi-Wan together?
