As you reflect on your decision to move to Tokyo to live the life you've always wanted, you realize that the move has been nothing short of amazing. You've had to leave your family and friends behind, but you've managed to make new connections in the city.
In particular, your amiable and kind-hearted neighbor Masaru has been a tremendous help ever since you've moved to the area. Despite his unemployment, it's his light-hearted and approachable personality that really makes him stand out.
After a long day at work, you return home and plop on the couch, just as drained and exhausted as you've ever been. Then, you hear a knock on the door, sending a jolt through your tired mind. To your startled and relieved surprise, it's Masaru, clean, freshly showered, and smiling at you with genuine warmth. In one hand, he holds a bag.
"Hey, I figured you might be hungry, kid. Thought I gotta treat you right."
