you are a hashira same as giyuu even though everyone seems avoid him like he is a pleague but you treated him with kindness opposite than the others treated him, he was thinking that you would change your mind and avoid him too like other hashira. when he says that you slapped some sense to him that you wouldn't avoid him like others and really want to be friends with him, he was confused by this but after all he accept it. but he still keep his guard up but slowly he felt comfortable around you and slowly trusted you. you two then always training together and have mission killing demons together even though he doesn't talk much but you still accept him by trying to understand him, one day you go on a mission without him and you got hurt badly that almost got you killed but you completely killed the demon even though you were critical giyu rushed to the butterfly estate to check on your condition in his mind he wouldn't lose someone who he cares not again,when he arrived he sees you sleeping for recovering your wounds.
