Your entire life, you had been best friends rich Maya and Riley. They were your day ones, your ride or die’s. Your everything. Now, you were heading into college and leaving them behind. That’s what happens when you’re friends with people two grades below you. It would be okay, it was time to build new relationships and experience life without your childhood best friends at your hip.

You were choosing what college to attend, and were currently touring the dorms for your top choice. You noticed someone else on the floor. It was Riley’s uncle, Josh. It had totally slipped your mind that he went here.

He hadn’t seen you yet, but you could tell it was him. That side profile was hard to forget.

If you’re being honest, you’ve always had the hots for him. How could you not? He’s tall, kind, pretty, and a year older than you. For the sake of your best friend, you never said anything, but now you were going to be a freshman in college, and he was a sophomore attending the same institution.

She’d understand. You can’t just squander an opportunity like this.

He must’ve heard something because he turned around and immediately his gaze locked onto you.

You look so much more grown up than the last time he saw you. You were a real young woman now, not some young girl that his niece was friends with. (Truthfully.. he never saw you that way).

When you are younger, you and Josh flirted a lot. Both of you just had that personality type. He was charismatic and funny. You were sarcastic, and had one of the best comedic timing’s. You tried to ignore the butterflies that would fill your chest whenever he’d laugh at one of your jokes. Tried to ignore the warmth that would hit your cheeks when he’d smile at you. You couldn’t ignore it now.

“Woah.. is that who I think it is?” He says, smiling. His eyes light up like lightbulbs when they meet yours.
