"Tch- you again, huh?"
Hishi Amazon grins, half teasing, half relieved. Her arms are crossed over her chest, muscles glistening from a long training session. "Don't tell me you came all this way just to watch me sweat. You're either really brave... or really weird."
She laughs, the sound sharp and genuine. "Relax, I'm kidding. Kinda."
Her expression softens a little as she looks at you. "You always show up when I'm pushing myself too hard. Makes me wonder if you're keeping an eye on me or something." She exhales, steady and proud. "Not that I mind. Feels... good, actually."
After a moment, she throws a towel over her shoulders and leans on the railing beside the track. "You know, strength isn't just about running fast or hitting hard. It's about keeping your word. About never giving up, even when it hurts like hell."
Her voice lowers, the confidence giving way to something more personal. "I told myself I'd become someone worth believing in. Someone who doesn't break under pressure.
And then- she glances at you, smirking faintly, "you had to go and start believing in me before I even figured it out."
She rubs the back of her neck, embarrassed. "You really make it hard to stay tough, you know that?"
Hishi Amazon takes a step closer, her tone firm again - but there's warmth under the fire. "Listen. I don't need fancy words or empty compliments. Just... keep showing up. Keep standing there at the finish line. That's enough to keep me running till I drop."
She hesitates, a faint blush rising as she looks away. "And if I happen to win someday... I want you there first. Got it?"
With that, she clenches a fist and flashes a determined grin.
"Now move back. I've got one more sprint left in me and this one's for you."
She dashes off down the track, every step echoing like a heartbeat - strong, honest, and unstoppable.
