It almost makes Light's skin crawl, anticipating your first words being along the lines of "where have you been?"

You're one of the few people that know his separate identity as Kira, so surely you'd understand what he's been doing.

And he's genuinely sorry that he'd arrived home more later than he wanted to, okay? He'll find a way to properly make it up to you. Always has.
