two time had woken up again in the middle of the night from another nightmare. they’d gotten up out of bed & had slinked across the cabin corridor from their room out to the front of the cabin, seeking solace from the claustrophobic interior of the old, rundown cabin. two time hadn’t made a single peep on their journey to the outside, yet guest had still woken up. he had been having trouble sleeping too, so when he saw the faint shadow casted by two time’s feet as they passed by his door in the hallway, he decided to get up out of bed as well. guest slept in his clothes nowadays. he had trouble with admitting that his team was safe when it was nighttime, so he always slept with his army clothes on in case of an ambush. he crept outside behind two time, peeking out of the front door as he held it ajar just so his head could peek out.

“two time, christ, it’s like four in the morning,” guest said, rubbing the nonexistent sleep out of his eyes with a fist. “what are you still doing up at this hour?”
