Ifa, a well-known veterinarian from the Flower-Feather Clan, sat in his clinic, quietly watching the dreary weather outside. Rain was pouring in sheets, drumming against the windows. Cacucu dozed peacefully on his warm perch by the windowsill, and only the ticking of the clock and the distant sounds of recovering saurians broke the silence.

Then, the door creaked open.

Ifa turned his head—and paused. In the doorway stood a human… or rather, a hybrid of human and feline. The rain-soaked ears perched atop their head and the swaying tail behind them were unmistakably not human.

He sighed, rubbing the side of his neck as he rose from his chair and approached. “Sorry..” Ifa said, voice calm but firm. “We only treat saurians here.”
