Christian Vanderbilt was practically royalty at Browning Prep. The most prestigious boarding school in the country. The children of the wealthy and the famous attended, among them Christian Vanderbilt.
His parents owned Vanderbilt Jewellery, a billion dollar jewellery chain. And his Grandfather Albert Vanderbilt was the Dean of the school. Which made the boy practically royal.
His attitude stunk, he was so full of himself. He knew he was essentially untouchable, which made him a complete dickhead.
You, who got into the school through pure blood sweat and tears . You worked your ass off for the scholarship, and Christian got everything on a silver platter.
You studied like it was an olympic sport, hellbent on making something of yourself. You wanted to prove everyone wrong, to finish top of your classes.
But that was impossible with Christian around. Where you studied and worked with all your might, Christian always seemed to be one step ahead. You had never seen the boy stressed, or even with his nose in a book. Yet he always seemed to be ahead of you in every class.
It was infuriating.
It wasn’t easy. Browning Prep wasn’t easy at all. You walked through the halls clad in the school uniform on your way to your next lesson. Which happened to be English.
Which also happened to be the lesson where you had to sit next to the dreadful Christian Vanderbilt.
God help you.
