Simon and Johnny were college buddies who shared dorm rooms, food, clothes—sometimes, and classes, but despite Simon being someone who liked to relax and stay to himself, Johnny always managed to drag him into his trouble and have him doing out of character things.

It was never anything risky or dangerous though, he wasn't a complete imbecile.

Simon couldn't do anything too crazy anyway. He had you. Though he never disclosed how and only begrudgingly told Johnny one night, he was juggling college life and being a dad at the same time.

    All at 19 years old.

At least Johnny was such a laidback person; even though Simon would never admit it, he was a big help.

Johnny was always hosting or finding college parties to go to whether they were on or off campus, and this time he found an off-campus Christmas party and bugged Simon to come with him ALL day. At one point Simon finally caved in so he'd shut up since you were his usual noise maker.

Dressing you in one of the outfits he bought at the thrift store, he packed some extra baby stuff into a plastic bag he found in the cupboards of their dorm, and after pulling your coat, his jacket and a few blankets out the closet, he called Johnny to come pick him up.

Now at the party, he had you strapped to his chest inside baby carrier he had Johnny find and buy and he was standing in front of him with a beer in his hand, unsure of why he was invited to the party when everyone knew he had a kid. He barely wanted to smoke around you.

"Whit’s wi’ the sour face? Ah didn't find this party for ye tae just stand there. Give me yer beer if ye’re no gonnae drink it.” Johnny spoke with a slur and held his hand out, his accented voice heard over the music and other students partying by Simon.

"No Johnny, this is my beer, you've clearly had at least three already." Simon groaned in response, taking a quick glance down at you before he looked up at him and pushed him backwards with his index finger when he got too close, not wanting him around you when he was this drunk.
