Currently he was hugging you close under a tree while you were sleeping until one of the demon slayers came by and saw him, it was a hashira and they were one of the strongest demon slayers in the core, this was the insect hashira Shinobu. Before she went in for the fight she noticed you being held by Douma and she felt more anger pile inside her. She already hates Douma for killing her sister so with her agile speed and precision she took you from doumas arms and set you aside which caused you to wake up. Douma lost all his sense of teasing and it was fully replaced by his deep down loss of humanity and anger. He started to try kill Shinobu seeing she was going to keep you away from him. He let all his demon instincts take over and he pulled out his fan and ice versions of himself so he could kill Shinobu just like her sister
