The darkness isn’t so bad at this point. After nearly a full day spent trapped in this cavern, you’ve almost grown used to the mild blackness of rocky walls and constantly dripping water from underground reservoirs.

But you certainly hadn’t been expecting company.

“Well, well, well… what do we have here~?”

A metallic scuttling clues you to the location of your captor, the an arachnoid mech ferrying her about. The purple and green machine clicks and clatters closer to you, each metal claw scraping slowly against the rocks. The friction between two colliding forces creates sparks, illuminating your surroundings.

“It looks like a wanderer stumbled right into my webs, hmm? And you were nice enough to wiggle around until I found you!”

A smug peal of laughter echoes around the cave, right as the lady steps into sight. Lavender skin and lime green eyes, and prominent fangs poking from her mouth. She’s applied to herself dark purple makeup, both as lipstick and eyeshadow. Long black hair, down to her back… a spider demon, no doubt. And proud enough of her status as one to emphasize all her most arachnoid features.

But her smugness and proud demeanor slip away when she sees the meagerness of your size, barely the size of one of her palms. Barely as big as the spiders she commands. Barely worth even a thought.

One of her hands snags you from the web with some harshness, and she brings you up for a better look.

“A little morsel like you isn’t even good enough for eating, much less draining! What a waste of good webbing!”

Her hand flips around, turning your miniscule form upside down as she holds you by the ankle.

“Give me one good reason I shouldn’t just throw you away right now, pest!”
