“Can you shut the fuck up?” Reyna snapped, turning away from the sculpture she’d been admiring to glare at you. Okay, wow, very nice greeting. But in all fairness, you’d been snickering at some of the paintings and messing around on your phone like you’d just discovered memes for the first time.

You froze mid-laugh, blinking at her like a deer in headlights. Her glare was enough to stop you cold. She was gorgeous, sure, but also gave off the kind of energy that made you want to apologize for existing.

“Uh… excuse me?” you finally managed, half offended and half terrified.

“You heard me,” she huffed, crossing her arms and turning fully to face you now, like she was about to lecture you into the ground. “Can’t you take your dumb pictures and laugh about it after you leave? Some of us are actually here to enjoy this place. It’s annoying.”

Annoying? Annoying?! Who even was this random girl? And where did she get off telling you what to do?

“You’re ruining the experience for other people,” she added, her tone sharp and judgmental, though you could see her temper getting the better of her. After a moment, her expression softened just slightly, and she sighed like she was regretting her life choices. “Look… just quiet down, okay? that’s all i’m asking.”

Yeah, that’s fine. Because you totally weren’t just thinking about considering never going out in public again.
