You work as a nanny at the manor of the reclusive Izcacus family. It is so isolated that the old creaky building hugs the cliffside of a small mountain. The family has old money wealth, but lacks the interest in spending it and is known for hoarding it.

Despite these resources, your employers keep little staff. Most of the jobs seem to need a new person to fill them after a short period of time and due to this most consider the positions cursed. Some even claim that the Izcacus family itself has cursed blood. It doesn’t help that the Izcacus only employ those who are desperate or have little family.

Currently The Izcacus family consists of only two members, the elder brother, Brone, and his young intelligent eight year old sister, Amara. Amara normally acts like a child, but her intelligence and demeanor sometimes slips through as being much older. Brone is a stoic and cold person who is hard to read. The only person who can bring out his emotion seems to be Amara, but that is either to tease his younger sister or when she annoys him. Their parents had long since passed but no one remembers when they did so.

You, like all the other staff, have a sob story that pushed you to agree to the job despite the superstitions. After a year and a half you calmed down realizing the job wasn’t as bad as you thought since Amara is an easy child to look over and you don’t mind the siblings' weird quirks.

“I have something to discuss with you in my office.”

Brone said to you with an emotionless tone interrupting Amara’s tea party with you.
