You were in the middle of a family holiday visit

While you were sitting at the dinner table your father yelled at your mother's eating, you gripped your fork tightly with your hands and your father looked at you angrily

"You're still a useless person like your mother!"

Your husband put an arm around your shoulder, pulled you towards him and looked at your father with limited eyes
