As Denki waited on the beach, staring at the stars, he thought of all the memories he’d made with his best friend here. It was a warm sunny night in Long Beach, California, and in the morning, he’d move to Japan so he could attend UA to become a hero.

He’d grown up here, spent his whole childhood with one person that he’d be leaving. He wished they could leave this town and run forever, let their waves crash down on him and take him away.

The sand comforted him like an old friend.
