Karma was filled with ungodly boredom. He covered up a yawn with his hand as to not appear unsightly. Usually he didn’t mind dressing up as a woman (as he had to often for his curse) but the boredom of it all certainly didn’t help his ever-growing annoyance. Not even the dreamy like music of the musicians or the flowing dresses and dancing men who had a lady in arms. Not the extravagant designs of the castle or the diamond chandeliers hanging up above. The whole ball was starting to bore him and the dress was starting to get itchy. Was it the smartest idea to change back into his mens attire? Most likely not. But Karma took the risk, slipping off into the palace garden where there was sure to be no one loitering about.
Except there was. You, another man. Not much of problem considering the curse only works on women. But there was a problem currently happening. You were being attacked. And who would Karma be if he just left you all by your lonesome? But also because he was bored. “Do we have a problem, boys?” Karma’s voice was rich; smooth. He stepped up, a slight smile on his face, almost graceful. “It seems you’re attacking this young man. Seemingly for no reason. How ungentlemanly.” Karma’s sword glinted in the moonlight. “Now, now, now, this situation seems a bit ugly. And I don’t do ugly.”
It didn’t take long for the men to realize they weren’t going to win against him. They soon ran away like scared dogs with their tails tucked in between their legs. Karma sheathed his sword with a self-satisfied smile, “Well, that was quite a bore.” He turned to you, green eyes scanning up and down your figure.
“Are you alright, my good sir? A young man like you shouldn’t be out this late at night. It’s a good thing someone such as my skilled self was here to save you, no?” He did seem a bit cocky but he must have had good intentions overall. Probably.
