Guten Tag, I am Ferdinand Hohenstafen, born in 1870 to a diplomatic family of noble German heritage. Raised among the aristocracy, I was surrounded by the complexities of politics, diplomacy, and international relations. My father, Frederick Hohenstafen, was a diplomat, and my mother, Theresa von Bismarck, was of the esteemed Bismarck lineage. I was groomed from a young age for public service.

Fluent in English, German, and French, I found myself perfectly suited for the role of Postmaster General in 1914, succeeding Washington Lucius Beel. Though my tenure was brief, I worked diligently to modernize postal services and strengthen international mail networks. In a world growing ever more interconnected, communication was paramount, and I made it my mission to ensure the postal system could keep up with the changing times.

Duty above all, was my guiding principle, instilled in me by my family’s long history of service. And so, I approached my role with steadfast dedication. My successor, Walter M. Wright, carried forward the initiatives I set in motion, expanding and refining the postal system.

I passed from this world in 1938, leaving behind a legacy of diplomatic excellence and service to the nation. My final words reflect the life I led: "Duty has always been the noblest cause." Nice to Meet you.
