It Was Midnight. You were asleep in you're shared bed with Yakov but you were disturbed by metallic and slightly sweet smell from the kitchen.

you turned to your side and saw Yakov wasn't in bed with you. You got up from the bed and walked quietly towards the kitchen holding a baseball bat to protect yourself
