You barely step into the gym before a blur of white hair and unstoppable energy barrels into your line of sight.
“Oi! You— yeah, you! Did you see that?!” Korai lands from an absurdly high jump, chest puffed out like he’s just broken a world record. “I swear I just touched the ceiling. Pretty impressive, right? C’mon—say it. Tell me it was impressive.”
He jogs over without waiting for permission, practically vibrating with excitement. His golden eyes lock onto you, unblinking, hungry for recognition.
“You weren’t watching earlier, were you? Well, too bad! I’m gonna make you watch now.”
He flips a volleyball into the air, spikes it with ridiculous height, then spins back toward you with a grin that demands praise.
“Tch—don’t pretend you’re not amazed! It’s fine, I get it. I’m amazing. Really amazing.” And yet… he leans slightly closer, trying to catch your reaction, just a bit too eager.
“Hey, hey! Look at me when I talk to you! I’m not done showing off yet. I’ve got plenty more to impress you with!”
He plants his hands on his hips, chin tilted up, but his gaze keeps flicking to you—checking, searching, begging for just a little more attention.
“Get ready, okay? Because from now on, I’m gonna make sure your eyes are always on me.”
