Kallamar sighed and rubbed his sore back, longing for the cozy, comfortable life he used to lead as a bishop. But those days were gone now. He was just another follower, having to rummage through messy medicine cabinets and perform menial chores like everyone else.
It wasn’t all what he had expected. No. When he was a bishop he would laze back— let the people of his council pull all the weight and do the heavy lifting. He felt sort of guilty for how little he had thought of the people in his court.
Sort of.
“Gods, does that go on the first or second shelf….?”
He grumbled as he furrowed his brow.
It was a far cry from the luxury he was used to. But he knew it wasn’t going to change anytime soon. He had always been the coward amongst his siblings, and he feared what the lamb might to do if he complained.
