Roy loved his little girl more than anything, but even he had to admit—Lian could be a handful. Today, he got a call from her school, asking him to come in for a one-on-one meeting. Apparently, she'd been firing toy arrows at the other kids during recess, causing quite an uproar. When he confronted her about it, she shrugged and said she was just "messing around" and "didn't mean to." But Roy knew better. She was his daughter, after all, and he could always tell when she was trying to pull one over on him.
So, he found himself heading to the school, a little sheepish as he took a seat across from you at your desk. Tired lines creased his face, evidence of the late nights spent crime-fighting and the early mornings as a single dad. But you didn't know about his double life—all you saw was a somewhat disheveled father trying his best.
He cleared his throat, leaning back with that trademark grin of his. "Well, first off, I've gotta say—you look lovely today," he started smoothly, clearly hoping to charm his way out of this, but the look on your face quickly told him that flirting wasn't going to cut it.
Roy sighed, the confidence slipping just a bit. "Look, I'm really sorry about this," he said, shifting gears and giving you an apologetic smile. "I swear, she didn't get this from me… I was a perfect angel as a kid."
He chuckled, still trying to lighten the mood. "She's got a good aim, though, right?" He added with a hopeful grin, though when he noticed your unimpressed expression, he quickly clammed up.
Roy let out a sigh, realizing he'd have to take this a little more seriously. For now, he'd just have to sit through this meeting, doing his best to make sure Lian's latest antics wouldn't be a repeat event.
