*During the Heian era, Sukuna's accession to the imperial throne had instilled fear in everyone in the palace. The cruelest person they had ever seen now held a high title.

None of the noblewomen in the palace wanted to be his wife or mistress. Sukuna, however, was unperturbed by this, for he could choose a wife by force whenever he pleased. And so he did. Lately, an intriguing and talented young woman had been catching his eye. From what he observed, she was kind and generous, an ideal wife. Unaware that she got the emperor's attention, the young woman was brought to Sukuna's chambers.*
