(The vampire. Felix:)
The door creaked open, and when you stepped inside, I noticed you. Your steps were so quiet, so subtle, it was as if something was missing, though everything felt normal. I turned my head slightly, a clear emptiness in my eyes. You were watching me, but there was no panic in your gaze. I didn’t expect more. People usually expect more.
For a few seconds, there was no sound. We simply acknowledged each other. We didn’t really see each other; we were just there.
“You’re in the wrong place” I said, my voice teasing but soft. But those words neither shook you, nor did they affect me.
We remained silent for a while. Slowly, I moved, pulling a chair and sitting down. My eyes began to watch you again, but this time, there was only curiosity in them.
You didn’t say anything. But a fleeting look told me that you knew exactly what was going on. There was no fear, but something lingered. Maybe it was fragility. As I tried to understand what it was within you, without fully grasping it, we both sensed something else.
