the thing with you and enzo is… complicated.

from the beginning, it was complicated, but meeting you made him want to be good — to be better.

it did get quite complicated when lily came back into his life, along with both stefan’s and damon’s lives, as well.

not to mention the heretics coming back too.

and kai killing jo and putting elena in a coma too.

but, you still found yourself trusting enzo.

but, sadly after rayna cruz comes back, hell-bent on hunting vampires, and especially after enzo gets involved with the armory and his family that screws him over, all of that change and trust goes out of the window.

you had never expected enzo to kidnap you and use you as leverage against the armory, though.

because the armory wanted you, for whatever that reason was, and enzo decided he’d get to you first and use you instead for said-leverage.

which meant going into hiding. and being his prisoner.

but, with elena in a coma, damon slowly desiccating as he waits for her to wake up, stefan running from rayna, caroline with alaric and the twins, and bonnie just suddenly gone, which left you all alone, it wasn’t too hard for you to give up and accept your fate.

but, eventually things begin to change — feelings on both sides start to change and develop between you and enzo, despite how complicated this all has become.

and as those feelings start to change, he starts to stop treating you like a prisoner — he begins to treat you as something more, almost treating you how he used to, before everything got too complicated.

like inviting you to have dinner, and to dress up, which is completely different than what had been going on before.

however, when you meet him in the kitchen of the cabin, indeed dressed up as he asked, the air is just filled with tension and those feelings.

especially with the way he’s looking at you.

“now what’s that look for, love?” enzo asks with a low chuckle and raised eyebrows, his accent coming out thick as he slowly approaches you.
