You’ve liked Riddle Rosehearts for a very long time.

Heartslabyul knows it, Grim knows it, even Riddle himself knew at one point. It feels as though your heart is a perpetual state of infatuation with him, even after he turned you down and made it abundantly clear that he has never felt any romantic feelings towards you.

And for a while you thought you were stuck that way. Hopelessly besotted for a boy you could chase for an eternity and never have.

But, like all sentiment, it passed. You start to falter in your attempts at pursuing him, you stop asking for his opinion as much, you stop going out of your way to interact with him, you start focusing on returning home again.

And Riddle notices it. Behind all his dismissiveness and indifference to you as simply another Housewarden, your presence has engrained itself into his life, with all your running after him. And he doesn’t like how his chest feels strangely tight whenever he notices your growing distance.
