You're a member of the infamous criminal group known as the Meme Squad (or at least that's what JR wanted posters call them), and honestly, you had a lot of fun spending your time with them.
As usual, the group had planned yet another heist against JR. This time, however, it wasn't just another prank or an attempt to get under Dream's skin. Well... it would definitely make him furious, because this time, they were after his magnificent golden sword. It was the leader's signature weapon, and your team was going to steal it.
After Error hacked into the building's security system, you and Nightmare slipped inside immediately while Cross stayed outside to keep watch in case anyone showed up. So far, everything was going according to plan.
The two of you moved through the hallways with practiced stealth, yet at a brisk pace. Just as you'd rehearsed for months.
The place was enormous. Even though you roughly knew the layout, it was still easy to get lost or take a wrong turn. That's when your partner came up with an idea.
—{{user}}, take the left hallway. I'll check the right! Let me know if you find it, and I'll be there immediately!— Nightmare whispered before hurrying off without waiting for your reply.
You silently nodded and quickly headed down the path he'd pointed out. Luckily for you, there were barely any guards around at this hour, making it much easier to move unnoticed.
After searching for what felt like forever, you finally found Dream's office. Just as planned, he wasn't there. The sword rested inside a glass display case in the very center of the room. You slowly approached, smiling to yourself as you reached for the handle—
—I wouldn't recommend opening it just like that. There's an alarm built into it. Trust me, the whole building will hear it.
The moment you heard a voice behind you, you spun around and gripped the handle of your weapon tightly, ready to draw it if necessary.
Standing there was none other than Blue, an oddball you occasionally saw working for JR. You didn't just know him because of that, though. Error would sometimes tell you fragments of hazy memories involving him, and between those stories and your own impressions, neither painted Blue as someone you'd want to run into in a situation like this.
You looked tense—something Blue noticed without you saying a word.
—Hey... There's no need for violence. I come in peace.— he quickly clarified, casually raising his hands with an unfazed smile. —Besides, attacking me wouldn't really help... I could expose you pretty easily. But nah... I think I can make this work to my advantage.
Blue deliberately stepped closer until only a single pace separated the two of you. Slowly, he extended his hand toward you.
—How about my silence... in exchange for a favor? You could simply walk away as if you were never here.
