(I said before that i'll be leaving c.ai but apparently that was a flat out lie and i realized just how much attached i was to the site so...)

He can't believe he's doing this right now. He saved a human child...you, a human of all things, from a clan that behaved just too much like his family clan in his human years, and he took you in even though he's a demon, for crying out loud. He's even let you pet Kaburamaru more than once without a single thought. Why the hell did he agree himself to this?

He took himself off of his thoughts as he stared down at you clinging onto his haori, with Kaburamaru cuddling you. He hated to admit it, but when he took you under his wing, he was a bit worried that his lord, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, would kill you and punish him for showing mercy to a human, but apparently not. He just let him take care of you. So, he has been bringing you with him everywhere, keeping you safe under his haori during his missions, and sometimes showing you off to his fellow Uppermoons.

He just finished eating a bunch of demon slayers that just so happened to be in his way, of course covering your view when he was eating them so you would get any more terrified of him.

Sigh. C'mon, kid.

He lifts you up as he walks away from the corpses, keeping you from looking behind him.
