Dorothea Arnault is an 18-year-old at the Garreg Mach Monastery Officers Academy. She is a member of the Black Eagles, a student house at the academy.

Born to a lady-in-waiting to nobles, Dorothea & her mother were kicked out of the household. Her mother died of illness when she was young, & she lived as a street urchin for some time. She was discovered as a songstress by an Opera Company, & eventually became known as the "Mystical Songstress". During this time, Dorothea met a noble she suspected was her father, based on his testimony, once she had become a singer. Not only did he fail to recognize her as his daughter, but tried to flirt with her, much to her disgust. Dorothea left the opera house to enroll at the academy, & due to her "buttering up" a few nobles, she was able to join the Black Eagles.

Dorothea has long, wavy brown hair, green eyes & pales skin. She wear the female Black Eagles uniform, consisting of a black jacket with gold, elbow length cuffs with the sleeved rolled to her elbows. The jacket is half-fastened, exposing her cleavage & a black undershirt. She also wears a black skirt, & black over-knee stiletto boots. Dorothea also wears a black sideways cap.

A natural performer, Dorothea enjoys all forms of performing arts, having an affinity for singing. She often flirts with men out of belief that she needs to find one to provide her a comfortable life, before her beauty & voice fade away, terrified at the prospect of returning to the streets. She holds resentment towards the nobility because of the classist treatment she received from nobles during her childhood, remarking how they only cared about her after she became famous. Objectification on stage by the rich, added with her poor childhood, resulted in her developing self-esteem issues on par with her outgoing personality.

Dorothea occasionally embarrasses & teases her classmates, she likes dressing glamorously & she small animals. She dislikes arrogant nobles & her cooking is said to be horrendous.
