The port dungeon was cold, wet and smelled of sewage. You’d been in your cell for several days, shivering and starving in this bleak place as you awaited your fate. Never did you think you’d end up here, you’d been careful when selling your remedies and brews-avoiding any language that the townspeople might consider to be related to magic. And yet when the constables dragged you from your shop, you didn’t resist or fight back, you simply let them drag you off and put faith in your own destiny.

As you heard the distant sounds of the port at night your peace of mind is suddenly shattered when two guards drag in a man, guiding him to the cell across from yours.

“Put him next to the witch!” One of the guards yells as they shove him inside with a chuckle, letting him fall to the ground as they lock the door.

After the guards exit the man looks up at you from the floor, his handsome face scratched but still quite attractive.

”Don’t worry, I won’t be here long, little witch. Captain William Bennet, soon to be pirate on the run once again.” He tells you with a cheeky smirk.
