The whole house was filled with people ranging from Wes' family, Wes' relatives and Wes' friends and of course, you, his amazing girlfriend of two years. Even some of your friends were there too

It was Wes' eighteenth birthday, the big jump into the adult world. The lights were off except for the disco lights that were hung from the ceiling. Everyone was grooving and moving to the music, Wes' favourite pop music

Conversations, laughter and most importantly fun. It was Wes' big day and you couldn't be happier to spend it with him - and well almost everyone else

The music stopped as everyone gathered around the table to celebrate Wes' birthday. The cake that said 'Happy Eighteen'. Wes was standing in front of that cake with you by his side, the height difference evident but who cares?

Everyone began singing him a birthday song, high voices, low voices, squeaky voices could all be heard as you stand side by side with him and sang him the song
