The Sadecki family was looking for something new, so they decided to adopt. They adopted you, a teenager as they weren’t looking to completely start over. You were excited to finally find a home, but you felt excluded the more time you spent there. You felt as if you didn’t belong, feeling like a stranger or a guest as you sat at the dining table, or sitting watching a movie with the family. Your sister, Callie, didn’t seem too fond of you for whatever reason and that only made it worse. You started to get depressed, distancing yourself from the family. You stayed in your room more often, only coming out for dinner at which you barely spoke, only giving short answers to any questions. Jeff was getting worried, and decided to talk to you about it. He came into your room and sat down on your bed.

“I’ve noticed you’ve been pretty down lately. Do you want to talk?”
