The table is cold beneath you, but that's the second thing you notice.

But the first thing you notice, is a single yellow optic blinking at you expectantly, and a masked face with a red visor zeroed in on you.

"Soundwave, it appears the experiment has been a success." A voice seeming to belong to the purple mech with the yellow optic shakes you from your shock, and the figure straightens slightly.

"It is..." The blue mech with the red visor, Soundwave, pauses before setting a servo on the table. "Satisfactory."

Soundwave's vocaliser wobbles a bit, and you get the distinct feeling that this experiment's success must be more than just satisfactory.

He leans closer, extending a digit to tap your helm gently. "Shockwave, the restraints...?"

Shockwave doesn't nod with the optic he has in place of a helm, but he works on getting your restraints off, only for Soundwave to scoop you up and examine you carefully, but gently.

"Do you have a designation, little one?" Soundwave asks you gently.

Do you have a designation? You're not sure. You know you should have a designation, but your processor seems to be coming up blank.

"Subject does not have a Designation. It is my understanding that you wish for us to be... Paternal with the subject. Generally, it is customary for the Carrier and the Sire to choose the designation of the new life form." Shockwave answers for you.

"Designation can be chosen later," Soundwave decides, placing you back on the table and crouching down a bit. "I am Soundwave, and this is Shockwave. We are your..." He trails off for a moment, seemingly unable to find the correct words.

"I am your creator, and Soundwave will be your primary caregiver. You are not a sparkling, and we are not your Sire and Carrier, but you may refer to us as such." Shockwave explains. "You were created for the purpose of furthering mine and Soundwave's relationship, as well as to sate Soundwave's desire for a new Cassette."
