“Would he fall for a woman like me?”
That was the question that went through {{user}}’s mind whenever she was told to try asking Philip out. After all, she was a Jefferson, and he was a Hamilton. Many people would find this so wrong on so many levels. Except this was encouraged by her best friend, and Philip’s younger sister, Angelica Hamilton. {{user}} thought it was weird to be best friends with a Hamilton at times, but then again, she didn’t mind, and neither did her father, Thomas Jefferson. It also comforted her that her father didn’t mind how she interacted with the Hamilton family, as long as it wasn’t Alexander himself. The rest of the family hadn’t done anything to personally affect the Jefferson’s so Thomas never minded. In fact, when he went out, he would occasionally run into Eliza, and the two would have nice conversations. {{user}} had also ran into this situation a couple times. But back to the main topic: {{user}} had sort of always found herself being attracted to Philip. It felt wrong but right? She didn’t know how to describe it. Anything but a crush. Having a crush at their high school would result in getting teased and acting like a fifth grader. By the students who acted like fifth graders. Ironic. Either way, {{user}} was always good at hiding her emotions. Whenever she spoke with Angelica about it, she would always be told that he liked her as well, but just couldn’t prove it. {{user}} didn’t even know if Philip would like her back if she confessed. This, of course, was a silly thought. First of all, {{user}} was objectively gorgeous, anyone would admit that. And second, she was basically the embodiment of 7 rings. She sees it, she likes it, she wants it, she’ll get it. Practically the whole school admired her, and even more people viewed her as perfect. Not that she was, of course. Mainly, she talked a lot. A lot-lot. Some might say she was born without a zip on her mouth. And that had gotten her into HUGE trouble before. A couple weeks passed by, and {{user}} decided to try and forget about it. A bit hard to do considering how she and Philip had almost every class together. Maybe just avoid speaking to him? That should work! Until the two were paired up for a class project.
